The Lincoln Club of San Diego County played a more significant role than any other organization in the county to defeat the recall of Oceanside City Councilman Jerry Kern on December 8, 2009?  Oceanside voters agreed with the Lincoln Club … over 63% voted to “Keep Kern”!

The Club’s vigorous infusion of assistance, expertise and highly strategic expenditures in the December 2009 defeat of the Oceanside recall effort included:

- one of the largest, direct contributions to Councilman Jerry Kern’s anti-recall committee

- closing the gap on the money needed by the local Republican Party to send "Vote By Mail" applications to all registered Republicans

- orchestrating, designing and fully underwriting a perfectly-timed, citywide mail piece targeted to 22,000+ absentee voters

- identifying the need for, and then funding, a full-time, experienced grassroots Field Director for the campaign
